Let me introduce myself first. My name is Pascal Foret and I live in Belgium. I have always been interested by WW2. In 2003 I found a set of dog-tags that belonged to a paratrooper of the 82nd airborne 456 parachute field artillery. I made contact with his family and returned them to their rightful owner who died in 2000.
During my research of the unit (456 PFAB). I found a paratrooper of the same unit that was buried in a American cemetery (Henri Chapelle) in Belgium. His name was Thomas E. Woodard. He died (30 Jan 1945) at the end of the Battle of the Bulge.
During my search for more info about him. I found out that he originates from Giles County, Tennessee and was born in 1922. He enlisted in Pulaski on 24 Feb 1941 and ended up in the parachute field artillery.
I found your website during my search for information. Is it possible that he is part of your family? If so do you have more information or a picture of him?
Every bit of info is welcome."
(In the interest of security, we withheld the writer's name until we were given permission to publish it).
